Funny thing was my partner had a Formal Panel Video Conference the week it arrived. So, we tried it out. We were pleasantly suprise the sound quality was very good. He sound like himself not like he was muffled. You know you always wait for the feed back on these type of devices. He was on the Forum for over 2 hours and it only had 1 instance of feedback. It worked very well, however, the 6 ft long cord was not long enough for our use. Because of the size of the board and seating arrangement, II had to purchase an additional 15 ft. We've only used this product once, but so far it's done everything we needed it for: being able to be heard on Zoom calls. We were getting a lot of comments from others on our Zoom meetings that they could not hear us. After installing this external microphone - which was ridiculously easy: plug it into a USB then select as the microphone of choice - everyone immediately noticed the sound difference during our next Zoom call.
It picks up our two voices clearly, even if it isn't sitting directly in front of us. So far very pleased. Works great for multiple people joining into the same zoom session, much better than the on-board laptop microphones I had been using. MS Teams may not. This is hard for me to rate. Like a lot of people I spend a lot of time on video chats for work.
This inexpensive mic seems to work great on Zoom, Skype. I have had complaints when on a Microsoft Teams chat. Let me be clear, I do not know if it is the mic or something else but the constant in complaints from people that I sound low volume is on Teams. This mic solved the problem immediately. I bought this for my laptop so I could move around on Zoom conferences and still be heard.
The computer recognized the microphone but it never worked. I returned it to Amazon without any problem and bought a more expensive Tonor brand mic with a mute button.
It works perfectly so it wasn't anything I did wrong. Maybe I had a fluke but I can't recommend this product. We used this in one of our church group zoom meetings with several members in person and several who connected via zoom and everyone online said the sound was amazing that they could hear everyone with no issues.
